A 24-Hour Men’s Sauna Near Hongdae and Hapjeong: Somewhere to Catch a Little Sleep
Words and photos by Jigubyeol Sigoljwi

Love traveling—and a good late-night reset? This Seoul sauna review is for anyone spending the weekend out with friends around Hongdae and Hapjeong in Seoul, South Korea, who would rather rest comfortably for a while than wait around for a ride home.
The spot is 24si Namseong Sauna, a men-only, 24-hour bathhouse near Hongik University Station. Its round-the-clock hours make it a handy option for night owls.

Seoul Sauna Review: Location and Getting There
It’s just a few minutes on foot from Hongik University Station, so getting here is easy. If you’ve been following along for a while, you already know how much I love a good bath.
This time, a friend and I visited on a Friday evening to unwind after a tiring week. Dinner followed by a long, warming soak at a nearby bathhouse is my kind of evening.

Of course, Hongdae is packed with restaurants and bars that make it all too easy to stay out late. I imagine plenty of young night owls around Hongdae and Hapjeong miss their last ride home and end up wandering around looking for somewhere to catch a little sleep.
Inside the Men’s Sauna: Facilities and Atmosphere
The interior was very clean and well maintained. It looked as though the owner handled the cleaning and upkeep personally, and everything was tidy enough to make the space feel comfortable.
That said, this place seems geared more toward giving Hongdae’s late-night crowd somewhere to get a little shut-eye, so the hot and cold pools are small. They might actually be the smallest bathhouse pools I’ve come across.
Still, there’s a hot pool, a cold pool, and a sauna—everything I needed to loosen up and shake off some fatigue.

(I didn’t take photos inside the bathing area because people were washing. The space was small, but the facilities themselves were spotless!)
As an old-timer, I’m hardly likely to be partying around Hongdae and Hapjeong until public transportation stops running, so I probably won’t be using 24si Namseong Sauna as a place to sleep…
Personally, I’d love a lower admission price for morning and afternoon visitors like me who only want a quick bath. I’d come more often if that were an option.
(Owner, are you reading this?)

An ice-cold drink after a bath really hits the spot.
My personal favorite is Confidence, a Korean vitamin drink, but they didn’t have it here. Coolpis, a fruity Korean yogurt-style drink, made a perfectly good substitute!

To wrap up this Seoul sauna review: if you’re out late around Hongdae and Hapjeong and need somewhere convenient to rest, I’d recommend 24si Namseong Sauna.
The clean facilities, convenient location, and 24-hour access are its biggest strengths. After a fun night with friends, it’s a handy place to unwind, rest, and recharge.
I also regularly share new travel updates on YouTube.
I’d love for you to follow along!
